About Us

Our History

The Recruitment Society is the only body that serves the entire recruitment industry. Since 1979 the Society has represented the interests of and shared knowledge with a broad church of recruitment professionals. The Society doesn’t promote one branch of recruitment over another. Instead, it seeks to provide a place of debate for everyone in the industry (whether they are agency, in-house, media, advertising, online, psychologists, agency support/payroll, consultant and so on) and to argue and influence on behalf of everyone in the recruitment industry.

Its unique reach and rich history has seen it become synonymous with industry best practice and leading edge thinking, so much so that when BBC and Sky News look for expert commentary on the burning issues in recruitment they look to The Recruitment Society for answers.

Its 7000+ pre-qualified members represent all corners and all levels of seniority within the sector. With a variety of communication channels including its website, regular newsletters and well-established programme of events, The Recruitment Society offers a unique platform for advertisers looking to promote their brands and services to the entire recruitment industry.

About the Recruitment Society and REC partnership

The REC and Recruitment Society are collaborating together to provide opportunities for both Recruitment Society and REC members. Through the partnership, recruiters will have access to more events than ever before, to the Recruitment Society community network, but also to a range of discounts available as part of the REC’s product and service offering.
